C J Bolland is probably best known for his massive club smash ‘Sugar is Sweeter’ that went ballistic when Armand Van Heldan remixed it and clubs all over the world had punters screaming ‘Sugar Daddio’, however, beyond this commercial success C J Bolland remains a true techno pioneer, an absolute legend of European electronica and one of the best DJs in the world.
From the Rave Signal trilogy to Carmague to setting up his own imprint Mole CJ Bolland has been at the forefront of techno and dance music for the past 15 years and was pivitol in the whole Belgium sound that dominated the techno scene for several years, most notably R&S records. Via Dublin’s LIBERATION CJ Bolland visited these shores many times, selling out the Music Centre on more than one occasion. His most recent trips have been up north with Shine and Nice & Nasty, however, he is back to the fair city and aims to please. For more info on him go to: www.cjbolland.com below is his discography:

The gigs will both start at the early time of 8pm and Dublin’s premier live electronic acts will be entertaining the masses. Source Code and Produse aim to rip the roof right off each venue before the legend Bolland takes to the stage and Asciinoid (Seedy-R) will be strutting his stuff at the Dublin show. Support DJs are Richie Parker, who released his debut 12” early this year that has featured on UR’s mix CD by DJ3000 and been charted by some of the world’s top hard dance and techno DJs. Warm up comes from me, Desy Balmer. I am not in a shameless self-publicity mode right now so if you care to find out more go to: www.niceandnasty.net
Other news includes: Derek Carr is set to release his debut LP ‘Science & Soul’ on Nice & Nasty on the 9th October. Nice & Nasty will also be releasing 3x3 a project in part inspired by 50X50 (Richard Seabrooke, Candy Culture & Habitat project). It features 9 trax, 3 trax each from Derek Carr, Chymera and Produse. And Nice & Nasty are assisting Waterford’s Gobsmacked records release the debut 12s from Karl Cullen and Diarmaid O’Meara.
Finally, nice & Nasty will be in Radio City on 28th October with Percy X, Marco Bernardi and the 15th birthday celebration of Soma. On the same night a collection of Ireland’s finest have gathered to go mental in Isaac Butss (we had hoped to be part of DEAF but c’est la vie, we are not), so we have Mike McCoy vs Jamie Behan, Produse live, Source Code live, Declan Flemming and Gobsmacked DJs in Isaac Butts with Soma and Nice & nasty in Radio City. Access all areas for 12 quid. More news wil be announced shortly. Nice & Nasty also have Colin Dale and Pure Science in Crawdaddy on Nov 17th and then back to Radio City with Alex Smoke and Space DJZ on Friday 1st December. Watch this Space.
