BACKLASH // Thursday 23 June // Aidan O' Connell & Philth
RE-spect to Steve Reynolds for last Thursday's set, an inspiring mix of lost NYC disco & post punk
combing for a set that was something very different yet still worked on the dancefloor.

This Thursday night see's the full introduction of new kid Aidan O'Connell, AKA Funboy, AKA 'The
Italo Stalian!!, If he survives the Backlash initiation ritual (and few do) then he'll be bringing something
different to Backlash, hitting us with his vast collection of italo & disco gems, all played in his enthusiastic
and animated DJ style!
Playing with Aido is Philth who's recovered from his birthday party but we're not sure if we'll recover
from the rather severe haircut he's reverted back to.
Haircuts aside the lads have got a lot of new tunes to get through this Thursday, check our chart to
get an idea of the kind of stuff they'll be playing.
Finally, we're also celebrating the birthday of Backlash's errand boy John Mahon, we're giving him the
night off so things probably wont be run as professionally as usual so let us appologise well in advance.
CH-ch-ch Charity - Look out for the Anseo Solas DJ Carnival on Saturday 27 & Sunday 28 August
as Backlash's Jon Averill will be finishing off on the Sunday upstairs in Carnival, a weekend pass
for all gigs is 10eu & its in aid of Childline, more details will follow as we get them.
