| Am I the only one who has been waiting for some other Irish club night to book Dave Clarke? Havent seen him somewhere other than the Redbox since Creamfields 2001. Well done to Simon Conway and the lads for getting him over to EC tonight and for an affordable e12 too. |

He's played the redbox a load of times and he's been great loads of times too, he's also been sh1t a load of times too and its got nothing to do with the "17 year old scum crowd" You should really try and come up with something original to say instead of sounding like everyone else on this board...
As the lads said he wasn't the greatest last year in the Met either and he'll only play on those new Technics CDJ's so he could probably do with taking his head out of his ass as well. |

Well boo f***ing hoo buddy didnt mean to offend you, unless your a 17 year old scumbag. Theres no point being original if it hides the truth, is there?
Clarke was pretty good last night, started off with some electro and minimal and then progressed to heavy bangin techno. Would have preferred if he was on the decks. Seein him mixin in and out of tunes at lightspeed is a sight. |

Am I the only one that didn't think Clarke was all that good? I don't think he played up to his standards...
I might be a bit of a vinyl purist but I don't think he's quite as good on CD decks.
Nice to see him in a decent venue though |

Like I said, I thought he was pretty good rather than amazing. Some of his new stuff is good but I still prefer the first World Service album, especially for the electro stuff.
And yes, he is far better with a set of 1210's rather than the CJD's, but Id still rather seein him in Traffic on CD decks than in the Redbox with vinyl |

I don't know if he was all that good.
unfortunately I don't remember a thing
beyond the start and bits of the middle of
his set...things got a bit messy, don't know
how. bit unfortunate rather.
but a friend of mine who's in the know about these
things says that it was quite a good set, which is
high praise indeed coming from him.
'twas a bit full and hot and clammy as far as i remember...
but those bits that pop into mind were quite good.
well, next time, i'm staying sensible. |

He doesn't play on decks anymore mate, only those technic cdj's....
Bit primadonna-eque don't you think? I know some djs prefer certain mixers and stuff, but to demand those techincs cdj's? that seems a bit over the top to me....
Maybe the Redbox is better off without him (and you  ) |

Me and the Redbox go way back but its just not the same as it used to be, kinda lost it after they revamed the place. If he insists on only using CDJ's then that is a bit over the top alright...have photos from the night uploaded onto my iMac, anyone any ideas how to put them onto the boards? |
