Fakt has rejuvenated itself for a fresh 2008 and has already picked up an amass of support from Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Acid Jacks, Alex Gopher, AutoKratz, Etienne De Cracy Greg Churchill, Laidback Luke Aquasky, Jay Cunning (Kiss100) James Talk, Max Graham and many more. Following on from Dom Kane's recent 2 track smasher, this on looks set to continue this trend from the mysterious Black Russian.

Featuring four tracks that includes a cool reworking of the rave anthem 'Playing With Knives' we get treated to yet more of that essential nu breed acidic twittering dirty house.

Playing With Knives clearly uses the seminal rave anthem from Bizarre Inc, and the Russian has induced a clever hooky bass version that oozes tasty flavour on the dance floor. A modern and tough kick with a nice intro and some cool flow splicing develops the track into the main familiar sample that literally gets the dance floor working. The bubbly effect of the bass carves a solid impression and carries the track along. Some changes into a more electro fashioned bass here and there later on keeps the vibe interesting and a good up to date version of a classic.

Luv You Need starts with a more tech funk rolling approach that has a refreshing and almost uplifting sound with some intense effects and freaky glitches to lift it up into a more frenzied direction for the main drop. A chunky and chuggy drum then switches to be backed by a dirty bass stab that wobbles up and takes a slight dark direction with the vocal before suitably slamming back in with a wicked energy. A dub mix is included alongside the vocal as well.

Sunrise finishes off the EP with a more laid back affair compared to the previous tracks. A chunky looping bass rolling vibe starts us off with a more sublime tech house meets electro house style. A body grooving bass forms the main basis of the flow and some laid down percussion and changes all add.
