If you are familiar with the Blue Room radio broadcast that goes out after the Essential Mix on Saturday's for BBC Radio 1, then you should be no stranger to these DJ's take on chill. The shows theme translates very well on to this double pack, which each DJ mixes/compiles themselves. "Listen Again" makes for a pleasant change from your standard, dime a dozen easy listening stuff that has been dominating the shelves of high street music outlets like HMV etc for the last few years.
From start to finish, each tune is instantly likeable. Some of the tunes here would not be out of place on shows like Tom Dunne's, Pet Sounds. With everything from country and western style mash ups to Parisian musical influenced tracks on offer, it is sure to grab the attention of any listener…regardless of your musical preferences.
Stand out tunes on both CD's are Gogol Bordello - Start Wearing Purple, Hess is More - Yes Boss, Hard Fi - Cash Machine and Nightmares on Wax - The Sweetest. In fact, they are all crackers.
