Rising out of the ashes of the much loved and recently defunct rock act DFA 1979, Jesse Keeler's new project MSTRKRFT pronounced 'master craft) are due to hit these shores with a bang! For this new project guitars are lower in the mix than the DFA 1979 onslaught! Drum machines provide the rhythms, keyboards color in the rest. Every vocal is slathered in vocoder and glory days Daft Punk are more than a small influence to these guys.
One of the most suprising things about MSTRKRFT is their rapid rise to fame, having formed only a year ago they have gone on to win praise and support from DJs in many different genres.
While even the bigger names in dance music can't stop complaining about waning record sales and a troubled industry, the production duo have taken off at a dramatic pace with debut single 'Easy Love' released in January.
Their debut album 'The Looks' was released in July and its mix of 70's Vocoders, healthy rock riffs and speaker busting beats thats already become a big underground success.
With the recent announcement that DFA 1979 have have ceased recording many fans will be looking in MSTRKRFTs direction to provide their dancefloor rock thrills and we think its the perfect time for them to make their Backlash debut
Support comes from Jon Averill and the mysterious ' DJ Big Hands '.
