Novadance: Timo, you've just finished another crazy season in Ibiza- what is it about the island, and particularly DC 10 that keeps you coming back year
after year?

Timo Maas: DC10 is anarchy, and its one big family! I love the more ﾒundergroundﾒ feel to the place. And of course the weather is usually really nice- thereﾒs more than enough reasons to go
there....

You're a big fan of DC 10 resident Locodice, and released a recent tune
of his on your label- any plans to work with him in the near future?

He`s working on new material at the moment, and got a new single coming out on OVUM, Josh Wink`s label (Minina Brasiliera & Jakuzzi Gamez).... I will tour a bit
more next year with him, hopefully.

Earlier this year you were nominated for a Grammy along with remix
partner Martin Buttrich (for your remix of Tori Amosﾒ ﾓDonﾒt make me come to Vegasﾔ). Did you attend the ceremony? Any celebrity scandals to report?

I had nearly completely forgotten this thing. It was a great experience, loads of real stars...the coolest was Hugh Heffner with this 8 blondes...all of them looked unreal! I love L.A.! The best performance on the night was probably Prince vs Beyonce and Outcast!

How did it feel to be beaten to the award by a Beyonce remix?

I don`t care....excuse me, ...Beyonwhat???

Of all your high profile remixes over the years, which did you admire the most?

Iﾒm actually fond of most of them.! Mostly, I like the recent ones these days., like my new mix of Depeche Mode...Yeah, thats a great mix!

How important was your mix of Azzido da Bassﾒ ﾓDoomﾒs Nightﾔ (released in 2000) to your career?

It was THE important thing to spread out my name worldwide.....definitely the
classic "keyﾔ record.

You're also noted for your collaborations- are there any big names signed up for your new album?

Yes, there are! But I cannot tell u anything about it, Iﾒm afraid! Youﾒll have to wait another couple of months....but trust me, its worth it!

How is the record label (4:Twenty) coming together? Are there any names and/or tunes we should be looking out for over the coming months?

We just released Quasistereo (Cirillo & Ricky Montanari from Italy), ﾓSex
Fiendﾔ Thereﾒs new stuff from Hyper, Locodice, Buttrich, Dweed coming out soon.

You're always received well by Irish crowds- what is special about the Irish atmosphere to you?

Itﾒs a familiarity thing, I suppose. I always have a great time when I`m there- most people I meet there are really nice to me, and the support for my gigs is fantastic!

Any tricks up your sleeve for this particular visit?
